Accidents

Minor accidents will be dealt with in school and advice may be sought from one of the First Aiders at Work staff.  In the event of an emergency arising resulting in a child requiring medical treatment (either on or off-site) we contact the parents using the information supplied. Parents are therefore advised, wherever possible, to give the school a home, work and mobile telephone number at which they can be contacted in case of emergency. Please remember to notify us immediately of any changes to your emergency contact numbers. Parents who are willing to allow urgent medical or dental treatment to be given to their children are asked to sign the appropriate form on admission to school.

In the unlikely event that we are unable to contact a parent or legal guardian, a signed Medical Consent Form ensures that the appropriate emergency treatment is administered including anaesthetic or blood transfusion, as considered necessary by the medical authorities. Without a signed Medical Consent Form or a parent present appropriate emergency treatment may be withheld until parental consent is obtained.
