Admissions & Transfers

Crowle C.E. First School has been at the centre of education for the children of Crowle since it was opened in 1864.

It is a popular First School for 4 - 9 year old children providing high quality education for children from not only Crowle but surrounding villages and towns including Worcester.

The school is in the first tier of the Pershore "pyramid" of schools. Pupils from the school transfer to St. Nicholas C.E. Middle School at Pinvin in Year 4, where they stay until the end of Year 7, when they transfer to Pershore High School, Pershore.

Although priority for admission is given to children within our catchment area, children from other areas may be admitted. In order to ensure the provision of effective education and the efficient use of resources Worcestershire County Council has determined that the number of pupils that may be admitted in the relevant year group is 15 (published admission number).

By law, your child reaches school age at the beginning of the term after the one in which his or her fifth birthday falls. In Worcestershire however, most children start school earlier than the law requires. At Crowle C.E. First School all children who become 5 during the school year may start full time in September.

How do you apply for a place at Crowle C of E First School?

Starting school in Reception
The parents of ALL pupils seeking a place at Crowle C.E. First School, are required to complete a Worcestershire Local Authority Common Application Form (PA1), by the closing date.

This can be done online www.worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions

Once your child has been offered a place by Worcestershire County Council we will write inviting your child to join us for preliminary visits (prior to admittance in the September).
