Super Movers Poetry Competition 2020

Do you have a big dream?  Would you love to be famous?  Do you hope to save the planet?  Are you dreaming of your future career?  Ambitions are exciting and everyone enjoys hearing children talk about their hopes and dreams for the future.  BBC Super Movers are running a poetry competition for pupils in years 1 to 4.  They want you to write a poem about your ambition.  Miss Johnson and Miss Morris have set this writing opportunity for February half term homework.  We can't wait to read all of your entries.  Before you write your poem take a look at video clips below to get some useful tips and ideas.  There is also a copy of the official super movers poem, 'Beautiful Ambition' which may inspire your own ideas.

There will be a top national prize and 10 regional prizes for each category (Key stage 1 and Key stage 2).

Prizes for national winners:

  • The opportunity for the Premier League Trophy to visit your school, as well as an exclusive poetry workshop delivered by a leading children's author or poet
